YES! The PS3 is too expensive. Paying $600 for a videogame system is rediculous. Sony may say “you get more value for your money with Blu-ray discs and HD graphics!”, but do consumers really want that? Most consumers don’t even know what Blu-ray is, nor do they care.

Judging by current sales figues, the Wii is what consumers really want: an inexpensive game system that is actually fun to play.

Look at the sales figures of the DS and PSP. PSP offers everything in a portable system: movies, music, Internet access, and games. Yet when it comes down to which one is more popular, it is quite obvious the DS is outselling the PSP by a large margin.

Nintendo knows games, they practically created the modern gaming industry with the NES. Nintendo knows people want an affordable game system that everyone can enjoy (the Wii).

The PS3 is priced too high for most people to afford and it does not have enough quality games. If Sony sold the PS3 at a lower price and removed some of the unneccessary features (such as Blu-ray discs and HDMI output), then maybe it would sell better.
