This doesn’t really change my decision–I had already decided not to purchase a PS3. However, had I been undecided at this time, it would certainly push me toward the “no” category. What with IBM and Dell having problems with electronics overheating, that would simply be one more risk I wouldn’t want to take. It’s not worth it to spend $600 for a product that could potentially destroy $200,000+ worth of property, especially when it offers nothing new entertainment-wise–just newer graphics. I’ve been bored with games lately because there’s been nothing new, no innvoations, just the same games in new clothing. That’s why I’m excited about Wii–completely new way to play games, and designers are given more freedom to do interesting things with the controller.

Yes and no, due to these events, and some I figured out on my own, i will not buy a ps3 WHEN it comes out, or at least maybe half a year or so afterwards. Due to the uncertainty, then maybe later on it is fixed, and the versions are more recent, if not, then hell no. Wii and 360 all the way.
